CRICKET'S STORY

CRICKET'S INTAKE PHOTO POST-OP  POST-OP

In late January, Cricket (a Jack Russell mix) had a litter of puppies. Momma and pups were living outside in the cold. A concerned neighbor convinced the owners to allow us to rescue the puppies. The owners also agreed to let us pay for Cricket's spay, but they wanted to keep her.

Cricket's bad luck did not end there... She was hit by a car, survived that but was then mauled by a neighborhood dog. She limped back home and laid under a chair in the dirt for three days! No help from the owner; no food, no water, alone to die!

Again, the kind neighbor intervened, and she was rushed to the veterinary hospital with extensive wounds. The surgery was successful, and she’s started her long road to recovery in her wonderful foster home.

She is not yet ready for adoption, so stay tuned for more information before submitting an application.

Cricket’s is just one of many such stories… We desperately need your help, not only for Cricket and her many expenses, but to continue to save, care for, and adopt dogs and cats in need.
