Meet BUGSY - Paws Behind Bars Trained

BUGSY is an 8-month-old mixed breed male who weighs 46 lbs. He was found as a stray on a rural road, skinny and hungry. Regardless of his previous circumstances, he is a gentle and loving pup. He has a remarkable temperament and is very easy going.

We decided to make him a great pet and put him through our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. In addition to his wonderful temperament, he is now house, crate, and leash trained! He can sit, stay, "down," and come on command. Many of our inquiries are families with children - this pup is for you!

If you’re interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months.  We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
