Meet TAWNEY - Paws Behind Bars Trained

TAWNEY is a rescue favorite. She is a 2-year-old female, mixed breed. She came to us from an older couple who could no longer care for her. We've gotten her crate, leash, and house-trained. But there's more! Tawney is currently in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program where's she's building a basic foundation in obedience.

She's such a pleaser that it doesn't take much coaxing from her inmate! She is also doing her best to make up for lost time working on social skills with other dogs. As long as she can pick her friends, she's fine. For a young dog, she has a nice, moderate energy level and would just as soon sit on your feet than run the zoomies. She'd be fine with children.

If you’re interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months.  We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
