Meet MIRABELLE - Paws Behind Bars Trained

MIRABELLE is a 10-month-old female puppy. She weighs 37 lbs and should not get much larger. Her breed mix is probably a combination of many different ones, making for the best breed ever - "Super Mutt." She is very, very outgoing and friendly. She shows zero aggression and will be a nice addition to any family as long as you're active! This young lady loves to play - kids, other dogs, hiking, kayaking - she'll enjoy it all.

MIRABELLE has an added benefit in that she's a graduate of our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Younger dogs without bad habits are a nice change for our inmates; they enjoy the pup's eagerness to learn. She has been schooled in sit, stay, down, and come. She is crate, leash and house-trained.

At present, we are going the extra distance to help Mirabelle medically. The confirmation of her back end is a little off (She was born this way.). She is undergoing underwater treadmill therapy to strengthen her legs and hips while she's still growing. She is not in any pain, and her mobility is excellent, so never an issue with that; we're simply giving her a jumpstart. Besides, she's having a blast jumping in the tank and going for a swim!
